Hi. I’m Chris Posdal

I’m a freelance creative director and designer with 20+ years of experience helping brands connect, convert, and stay relevant.

From national beer brands to nonprofit youth programs, I’ve built campaigns, design systems, and brand activations that blend strategy with craft — and I do it in a way that’s collaborative, fast, and low-drama.

I believe great creative happens when you actually listen: to clients, to audiences, to culture. That’s how I approach every brief — then help shape work that feels grounded, memorable, and worth people’s attention.

Available for hire, contract, or fractional — remote or on-site.

So… what’s up with all the beer work?

Glad you asked! You’ve noticed that a majority of my recent work is in Beer. That is due to a combination of my loving the brands, staying loyal to an agency, and becoming an accidental category expert. I get it, but I don’t regret it.

While my most recent work has focused on Beer and Spirits, I see that as an advantage — not a limitation. Beer is one of the most competitive, culturally driven, and highly regulated categories in the world. That means I’ve had to master 360° brand thinking across retail, social, experiential, and partnerships, while staying fresh, strategic, relevant and compliant in rapidly shifting markets.

I’ve worked on over a dozen beer brands, each with their own unique personality and purpose. I’ve built creative systems that scale, activations that connect, and brand stories that resonate — skills that apply to any category. Regardless of the client or ask, my approach is grounded in empathy, insight, and craft.

If you can win in beer, you can win anywhere — and I’m ready to help your brand do exactly that.

Who I’ve Worked With

Beer & Spirits aren’t my whole story. I’ve done CPG, Fast Casual Restaurant, Quick Service Restaurant, Retail Big Box (and Little Box), Pharmacy, Banking, Casino, Healthcare, Lawn & Garden, HVAC, Self-Care, Cosmetics, Gaming, Lifestyle, Hospitality, Political, and Not-for-Profit.

The More You Know…

Yes, I wore a black turtleneck on my very first day as an art director.
My writing partner still won’t let me forget it.
